Hey Joe,

I too am a stickler for correct typography and grammar. I taught at the Art Institute of Seattle and it bugged me to no end when students would "put the punctuation outside of quotes," rather than the correct way here; saying 'nucular' instead of 'nuclear;' putting an apostrophe after the "1980's" instead of "1980s" (for example); and even still putting two spaces after periods while typesetting! What's that all about? Monospaced type from typewriter days are long gone and that convention should be forgotten…

I ran across your blog after having followed your reviews for some time on AppVee. I am a big fan and have followed almost all of your top recommendations. You might be interested to know that I published my first game, "Sword of Fargoal," back in 1983 for the Commodore-64 computer. It is amazing that things have come all the way around to the point that we are now about to release "Sword of Fargoal" for the iPhone. It is all new graphically and content-wise, and it also features beautiful transitional animations and professional music.

Sorry for the late reply…

I'd be interested in trying out the game on my iPhone.

Thank you for the kind words! The issues that you mentioned with grammar are a lot of the same things that I hate as well. The only thing that I take issue with is not putting two spaces at the end of sentences. I believe that it makes a printed paper evenly spaced and more legible. If you are talking in a strictly online sense, however, I agree with you completely. Also, I may have to drop you a line about your app. It seems very interesting.
